Paphos

You find Paphos in the sunsets on the western side of the Island of Love, and it’s just as romantic as is sounds. The coastline views are sensational, and a drive along the waterfront on winding roads and through narrow passes is something that will leave you moved. Aim for Aphrodite´s Rock, and you can’t go wrong.

The city was included in UNESCO World Heritage List for its ancient architecture, mosaics, and religious importance. Paphos itself is very old, with history tracing back to the Neolithic period. Many buildings and monuments remain perfectly intact, are well-preserved, and makes for truly inspiring visits.

Of course, you won’t have to walk the streets of Paphos on an empty stomach. You’ll find fancy restaurants and authentic tavernas, and bars, cafés, and beach hangouts. The local wines, cheeses and olives, and delicious charcuteries are all worth trying. Or you can get really messy with real meze and try out a variety of specialities for dinner ¬– the recipes and flavours are as unique as they are unforgettable.
